POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Product Marketing Specialist/Product Marketing Manager is a key contributor to sales and marketing and a key interface to the global product management team. The person is responsible for managing product marketing-related communications both internally and externally, via multiple vehicles including internal web sites, e-mails, presentations etc. Experience with developing, creating and communicating sales and marketing strategies and plans for technology products sold in the Japanese market. The person will manage multiple projects, require strong communication skills coupled with process-oriented thinking, and have proven skills in researching, organizing, writing, and presenting technical information. The person will also require a strong understanding of the sales process and be able to represent the customer to the organisation, both locally and internationally.
Market research:
·Map out market space (trends, potential)
·Identify market opportunities and thresholds
·Identify logical market extensions
Competitive analyses:
·Identify key players in RJ for all market spaces where we are active, KVM and Power
·Compare competitive product offering and develop useful sales input from it
·Research competitive pricing and positioning and translate into The company actions
Product portfolio:
lAttribute to all stages of new product introduction process on an RI level
lProof read and validate new product roadmap, spec’s, white papers
lFormulate clear USP’s, value propositions and ROI calculations for all products and markets
lInvestigate new product sales potential in the various markets and channels
Training:
lIncluding sales product training for both internal staff and channels
Presentation
lProduct/solutions champion at channel events, external seminars, conferences, working groups
lPress conferences and press spokesperson
-Education: Bachelors Degree in Engineering and/or Information Systems and 5 or more years experience in Product Marketing in a computer or networking technology company, preferably an multi-national organisation.
-Capacity to work both independently and in a team environment, with multiple organizational and management levels and cross functional departments
-Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple concurrent projects
-Proven excellence in researching, organizing, writing, and presenting technical information
-Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment, to meet deadlines, and to work under pressure
-Detail oriented with excellent organization and planning skills
-Strong communication skills coupled with strategic thinking and analytical skills essential
- Native Japanese and good English skills a must
•Demonstrated competency in the following: Microsoft office tools
•Strong project management skills, written, oral, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage to a budget.
