Job Description

The client is a regional retail company with its Asia-Pacific headquarters located in Hong Kong. The Finance Head is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Assistant Finance Manager to join the Group Finance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the financial strategy and management of our regional operations.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HK/PRC accounting standards.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the budgeting and forecasting process, providing detailed financial analysis and insights to senior management.

  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with local taxation regulations, including the preparation and submission of tax returns.

  • Group Consolidation: Assist in the consolidation of financial statements for the group, ensuring consistency and accuracy across all entities.

  • Audit Coordination: Liaise with external auditors and provide necessary documentation and support for audit activities.

  • System Management: Utilize Oracle Hyperion or similar financial systems for financial reporting and analysis.

  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in financial management.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other finance team members and cross-functional teams to support overall financial goals and initiatives.

Requirements

  • Certification: Qualified Member of HKICPA or equivalent.

  • Experience: 5-10 years of working experience in accounting, preferably within local conglomerates or large international companies.

  • Audit Experience: Candidates with some experience from audit companies are welcome (i.e a mix of background from Audit and End-users)

  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Oracle Hyperion or similar financial systems.

  • Language Skills: Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.

  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of HK/PRC accounting standards and taxation preferred.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior management and external auditors.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
