The client is one of the leading providers of Cloud solutions, committed to delivering cutting-edge technology and exceptional customer experiences. The hiring manager is seeking a dynamic Solutions Engineer to join his team and drive technical success for their clients.
Job Summary:Â As a Solutions Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Sales team to generate new business, expanding existing relationships, and ensuring customer satisfaction. You will leverage your technical expertise to understand customer needs, design tailored solutions, and provide strategic guidance on cloud technologies and internet security.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive technical discussions and implementations to support business growth and customer retention.
Conduct qualification of prospects and customers' use cases, discover technical requirements, lead demonstrations, design solutions, and collaborate on proofs-of-concept (PoCs).
Partner with the sales team to identify and present technical solutions that meet customer needs.
Serve as a subject-matter expert, providing strategic guidance on best practices for implementing and optimizing cloud solutions.
Advise existing customers as part of a dedicated account team, offering technical best practices and strategic guidance on internet security and performance.
Travel 30-50% to meet with prospects and customers, attend industry conferences, and collaborate with teammates.
Requirements
6-10 years of experience in a Solutions Consulting role, with a strong technical background. (If you have not done 100% solution consulting in the past, the hiring manager will also consider candidates with a combination of past work experience - 1-2 years in pre-sales/post-sales, 1-2 years in customer success and 1-2 years in solution consulting, even 1-2 years of programming, etc.- a mixture of all these skills would be fine)
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, Bash, Lua, or Go.
Deep understanding of OSI Model layers 1-7, BGP, GRE, TCP/UDP, DNS (authoritative and recursive), HTTP(S), and SSL/TLS.
Proven ability to act as a subject-matter expert and technical advisor to clients.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value.
